Antiques in Bethania (formerly called the Bethania Emporium), has been in business for 20 years. The building, built in the 40’s as a grocery store, had 3 apartments above with an open back porch area and was known as a gathering place for local gossip. The upstairs is now a private residence and separate apartment. The owner, Beverly Hamel, is author of the book which details the history of Bethania, Bethania: The Village by the Black Walnut Bottom

Bethania is a National Landmark Town, on the National Register of Historic Places and is noted as one of the top 10 most charming small towns in North Carolina. Located just northwest of Winston-Salem - off of Reynolda Road and Bethania Road. There is a Visitor Center, the restored 18th C Wolff-Moser House, Alpha Chapel, the Bethania Moravian Church, God’s Acre, the Bethania Mill, Muddy Creek Cafe and Music Hall. THE SHOP  is located at 5530 Main Street in the heart of Bethania’s National Register Historic District. We have been in business since 1997 and are known for being one of the most eclectic antique shops in the Winston-Salem and Piedmont Triad of North Carolina.

WE OFFER a wide range of unique items from primitive to high quality antiques few collectibles with all displayed in vignettes and a museum atmosphere. The shop specializes in 18th, 19th, and early 20th century antiques. We look for craftsmanship. eclectic, one-of-a-kind, sometimes sublime, often imaginative, sometimes zany, and often practical.
